A socially interactive group class, designed for seniors, to improve muscular strength & balance.

Service Description

Social – Group classes may have varied numbers of people taking part depending on the space, generally classes are capped at 12 participants. Classes combine likeminded people who are all aiming to gain the benefits of strength training whilst having fun and meeting new people. Structured – Conducted in a circuit style, each exercise is designed to target different muscle groups in a safe and secure way, providing a whole-body workout. By using a variety of different forms of resistance, i.e. dumbbells, resistance bands, body-weight, the exercises will gradually build your muscle strength, improve your range of movement, and support functional activities of daily living. Balance exercises are incorporated to improve your balance and help to prevent falls. Supported – Classes are run and supervised by a qualified fitness professional who will demonstrate each exercise and provide support throughout each class to ensure you are completing each exercise correctly and safely. Pre-exercise Screening is completed prior to your participation to ensure you are safe to perform the exercises and participate in the class.
